Physical Cultral Class. A brown tinted photograph of seventeen young women and one young man in a gymnastics class. Eight of the women are wearing European peasant costumes of long dark skirts, white blouses, and white caps with a starched wing on each side. The other nine are wearing dark skirts, white blouses, a figures neckerchief, and a knit cap. The lone man is wearing a dark business suit. He was identified as Mr. Otto Rost, an instructor from the Manual Training Department of Lawrence High School. The women are identified as: Top Row, L. to R., unidentified, Rosa Albert, Clara Rost, Niemeyer, unidentified, Ellen Wiedemann. Second Row, L. to R., Lena Heck Sitz, Emma Houk, Mary (Mrs. John H.) Houk, Otto Rost, unidentified, Margaret LaVan, others are unidentified.
