The Lawrence National Bank Building,1898.

This bank, located at 647 Massachusetts Street, was founded in 1872 by Washington Hadley. Hadley sold the bank in 1888 to J. D. Bowersock, who served as president until his death in 1922. The bank moved to a new location in 1950, but before they could move, disaster struck. During construction in 1948, four workers were injured and one died when part of the building collapsed.
