This interior view shows the front stairway and hallway of the house at 1501 Pennsylvania. This home was built in 1863 and 1864 by Judge Samuel A. Riggs and his wife Catherine (Kate). The present owners, the second generation of the Austin H. Turney family, have preserved much of the house's original character. The hall and stairway are papered in a reproduction western motif.
