"Zeugnisse von Ansiedlern" (Reports from Settlers)

Part of a railroad poster encouraging immigrants to Kansas.

"Zeugnisse von Ansiedlern" is one section of text from a promotional poster encouraging German-speaking people to emigrate to Kansas and secure homesteads. This is a testimonial from William Greifenstein which ends with the claim that the Arkansas River region contains the best wheat country in the West. It is section 3C&4 of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway poster titled "Die Beste Gelegenheit im Westen."
