Wife of George Washington Smith.

Catherine H. Smith was the wife of George Washington Smith. He was elected Governor under the Lecompton Constitution, appointed as one of the Vice-Presidents at the first Free State convention. Later he served as speaker of the House of Representatives in the Kansas legislature, and also Police Judge for the City of Lawrence.
